Description: Based on the original
Goldeneye 64 for the Nintendo 64, Goldeneye is a present day Half-Life
two modification. On the project I worked as a programmer, scripter,
and level designer. My major contributions included weapon scripting,
a sniper rifle, and the second showcase level.
Sniper Rifle - Designed and implemented
a Sniper Rifle by modifying the Source Engine code. Using the Magnum
from Half life 2 as a starting point. From there I added a scope by
changing the field of view based on player input. The weapon model
also had to be removed from the players screen. Finally, the screen
was jared to disorient the player and simulate the weapons recoil
after a shot.
Weapon Scripting - Modified weapon scripts for the
Silenced PP7 and AK47 to allow the custom models and sounds to be
used. Jasen Moloy and I modified the firing rates, and accuracy cones
of existing weapons to accomplish this task.
Level Design - Designed and built
the Facility level using Valve's Hammer editor. Nathan Austin designed
and built the Dam level.
Level Scripting - Worked on scripted
events using the Hammer Editor with team members. The final sequence
was designed by Nathan Austin, and implemented by myself and Jasen
Moloy. The sequence used a number of entites within the game to control
timing and logic. Sounds were recorded by Jasen Moloy.
